How To Save 30 Minutes a Day

1. How can you save 10 minutes a day in the kitchen?

One of the biggest wastes of time in the kitchen is not

knowing what you are going to have for dinner. Take a moment in your week to plan your meals. You will save time

and money. You can do this by first taking note of all of

the items your family will eat. Then look at your calendar

and see where you are at during the week. You don't want to cook a fancy meal when you have to leave your home quickly after work. Finally post your meals on the calendar and place them on the fridge or inside a pantry cabinet. Make sure to check your menu the night before so you can be prepared for your meals the next day.

2. How can you save 10 minutes a day in the laundry room?

The most efficient way to save time in the laundry room

is to invest in a good laundry sorter. Teach your children

how to pretreat their clothes with a “treat now, wash

later” stain stick. Your kids will be excited about treating their clothes and sorting them into the baskets as long as you make it sound exciting.Kids love the idea of being able to help around the house. Not having to pretreat and sort your clothes will save more than ten minutes of your time.

3. How can you save 10 minutes a day by taming the paperwork

pile?

Paper is the number one complaint that my clients have.

No one seems to know how to keep the papers from piling

up. First of all you should know that paper piles up. It

does so for everyone. What you need to do is make sure you

sort your mail on a daily basis. Keep a paper shredder

close to the area you are sorting so you don't have a reason to shred it later. Set up a system that includes a

place for incoming school papers, bills, and other items

that never seem to have a home. I have always suggested an

open file box that can sit in the place where you accumulate your paper. That is the kitchen counter for most people. Some of the files can include hanging files for each family member, Coupons, Activities, To Go, and To Read.Make sure your file box fits the needs of your family.Having a place to go with the paper now will save you from having to file a stack of paper later.
